Welcome to House of Vintage Interiors. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to House of Vintage Interiors. We operate this website and online store to offer you our handmade Victorian-inspired lampshades and related products (the “Services”).
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the eCommerce platform that enables us to sell our products to you.
By visiting or purchasing from our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully before using our Services.
1. Access and Account
By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent).
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when making a purchase or creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for any activity under your account.
2. Our Products
All lampshades are handmade to order or custom-made, which means each piece is unique. Small variations in colour, fringe, or detailing may occur and are part of the charm of handmade craftsmanship.
We make every effort to display accurate images and descriptions, but appearance may differ slightly depending on your device or screen settings.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time and to limit quantities per order.
3. Orders and Cancellations
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been processed and you receive a confirmation email.
Because all lampshades are made to order or custom-made, we cannot accept cancellations or returns once production has begun, except if the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
Prices may change without notice, but the price at checkout is the price charged.
We accept major debit and credit cards through Shopify Payments. By completing your order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
5. Shipping and Delivery
We offer free tracked UK delivery on all lampshades.
Because each item is handmade to order, please allow 2–4 weeks for production before dispatch. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been shipped.
We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or other events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you once the item is collected by the courier.
International orders are welcome, shipped via tracked courier. Delivery times and customs charges vary by country, and import fees are the responsibility of the customer.
6. Returns and Refunds
Because all lampshades are handmade or custom-made, we do not accept returns or cancellations unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
If this occurs, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.
Returned items must be carefully packaged to prevent further damage, and items sent without prior approval cannot be accepted.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us.

7. Intellectual Property
All images, designs, and text on our website are the intellectual property of House of Vintage Interiors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the eCommerce platform.
We are responsible for all sales and transactions; Shopify does not manage, fulfil, or guarantee your purchase.
We may include links to third-party websites, but we are not responsible for their content, products, or services.

If you submit feedback, reviews, or photos, you grant us permission to use them for promotional purposes. You confirm that your feedback is lawful, genuine, and does not infringe third-party rights.

Occasionally, there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors or inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct any errors, update information, or cancel orders if information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.
11. Limitation of Liability
We take care in crafting and packaging your lampshade. Except where required by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, data, or other damages arising from your use of our Services or products.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

These Terms and any transactions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
